Reporting to the Communications &amp; Social Media Manager, the Digital Storyteller will create engaging and compelling social media-first video content that aligns with the college brand and social media strategy, and can be shared across various social channels to foster engagement with the college .<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lead the production of video and multimedia content from ideation to final delivery, including <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">creative development, storyboarding, shooting, editing, and packaging of all films and digital content<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop and execute content that drives engagement, incorporates trends related to higher education, and increases brand awareness.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create content for both the college\u2019s YouTube Channel and TikTok\/Instagram Reels<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintain a video equipment inventory and digital library of video assets and support external video partners in coordinating on-campus shoots.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coordinate with the communications specialist and social media intern to build out the social media content calendar\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Identify and seek out members of the BU community to feature, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1-3 years experience in video production, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, and a strong portfolio.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong storytelling skills and the ability to create compelling narratives.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to generate new and creative ideas<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Excellent communication, oral and written and organizational skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to work independently, while meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A desire to constantly learn and innovate, and evidence of creative problem solving and collaboration.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience filming videos on Smartphones and professional cameras<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience editing both horizontal and vertical video<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Previous internship experience a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<p>Note: This is a 6-9 month position for an upper-level undergraduate, graduate student, or recent alum.
