Making an investment in your graduate education is a wise decision, but we understand that navigating the financial aid process can be challenging.\u00a0 The financial aid office in the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences<\/strong> (GRS) is here as a resource and strives to provide you with all of the information you need.\u00a0 If you are an applicant to or a student of the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences<\/strong> (GRS), please\u00a0feel free to contact us at grsaid@bu.edu<\/strong><\/a> with any questions that you may have regarding the financial aid process. Financial Aid Policies<\/span><\/h3>\n

The policies for all students eligible for financial aid are as follows:<\/p>\n

Employment Policy<\/h4>
<\/p>\n

The purpose of fully supporting our graduate students is to allow them to engage wholly in their scholarly work and to devote the attention necessary to complete their studies in a timely fashion.\u00a0 We expect that our students will not be employed outside of Boston University.\u00a0 University policy limits the amount of work that may be assigned to graduate students in any semester when they are appointed to a Teaching, Graduate Research, or Training Fellowship.\u00a0 For this reason, we expect students with fellowships to devote no more than 20 hours per week to their assigned activity.\u00a0 Please refer to the Student Work Hours for Employment at Boston University Policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Good Academic Conduct<\/h4>
<\/p>\n

All students at the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences are expected to maintain high standards of academic honesty.\u00a0 It is each student\u2019s responsibility to be aware of the content of the GRS Academic Conduct Code<\/a>, which can be found on the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences website.\u00a0 Please note, the GRS Academic Conduct Code is distinct from Good Academic Standing (Master<\/a>\u2019s<\/a>, PhD<\/a>) requirements and Satisfactory Academic Progress<\/a> (SAP).\u00a0 Please see the relevant Bulletin pages for additional information about those policies.<\/p>\n

The Graduate School of Arts & Sciences requires graduate students to maintain Good Academic Standing in order to remain enrolled in their graduate program and\/or to retain GRS scholarship and\/or fellowship support.\u00a0 The GRS criteria for Good Academic Standing are as follows:<\/p>\n
