Alumni Relations"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"nomargin\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/alumni\/\">Arts &amp; Sciences Development &amp; Alumni Relations<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><a class=\"location\" href=\"https:\/\/maps.bu.edu\/?id=647#!m\/339903\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">595 Commonwealth Ave, West Entrance, Ste 700<br \/>\n<\/a><a class=\"email\" href=\"mailto:casalum@bu.edu\">casalum@bu.edu<\/a> | <span class=\"phone\">(617) 353-5261<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>What are the main functions of DAR?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To increase support to Boston University from among its constituencies: current and prospective donors, alumni, parents, corporations and foundations, the local community, and the general public.<\/li>\n<li>To assist the Dean and CAS to identify and highlight overall development opportunities and communicate these to the rest of the DAR staff.<\/li>\n<li>To coordinate efforts by the Dean and the development staff to identify major donor prospects.<\/li>\n<li>To highlight CAS faculty, programs, and research in organizing events and networking opportunities for alumni.<\/li>\n<li>To assist CAS departments as they think about connecting and communicating with their alumni.<\/li>\n<li>To cultivate long-term relationships between CAS leadership\/faculty and alumni through campus visits, volunteer opportunities, academic research, and networking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Why would I contact DAR?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>We would like to connect with our alumni (or those that might have affinity for our teaching\/research\/outreach) and build relationships that might lead to increased support.<\/li>\n<li>We have been contacted by alumni, friends, parents, or a company who would like to make a contribution to our department\/program.<\/li>\n<li>We would like to send a department\/program newsletter, an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/alumni\/email-request\/\">invitation<\/a> to an event, or information about professional networking to our alumni.<\/li>\n<li>We have been contacted by alumni who would like to update their contact information or set up a campus visit.<\/li>\n<li>We have dynamic faculty with accessible topics who are willing to speak at events for BU alumni and friends.<br \/>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Contact Arts &amp;
