She&#8217;s also used her design skills for good as an intern with ARCK Boston as part of BU&#8217;s Yawkey Nonprofit Internship Program.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Emily Lynn Perelman\u2019s clouds don\u2019t have silver linings, but they do have blue, green, red, and pink ones. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emilylynnperelman.com\/about\">Perelman<\/a>\u00a0(CAS\u201922) is an illustrator and a graphic designer whose vibrant creations can bring splashes of color and joy to the printed page\u2014even during a trying year.<\/p>\n<p>In \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.emilylynnperelman.com\/personaldesignandillustration?pgid=k8hj0hub-ead62227-e47e-4af5-b1b5-6583c0440db0\">Isolation Station<\/a>,\u201d an illustration she created for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/society6.com\/product\/isolation-station2824106_print?sku=s6-13827220p4a1v45\">an art print<\/a>, a small house is stranded in space and fenced in by a circle\u2014but it\u2019s still a cheery and welcoming pink, stars winking beyond its cute windows. One poster declares \u201cThese Are Strange Times,\u201d but pairs its message with cradling hands and a bright yellow sun. The clouds in \u201cTime Moves Slow\u201d are bright red, the sky a deep pink.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really like to play with transitions\u2014like sunrises, sunsets\u2014abstract geometric shapes, and symmetry,\u201d says Perelman, \u201cand create a surreal vibe that makes the viewer feel like they\u2019re in some otherworldly, colorful place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Perelman, a psychology major and visual arts minor, has been illustrating since high school. What started as a hobby is now a small business: Perelman sells prints and stickers\u2014including BU-themed decals for travel mugs and laptops\u2014on craft sites\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/shop\/EmilyLynnPerelman?ref=search_shop_redirect\">Etsy<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/society6.com\/emilylynndesign\">society6<\/a>.
