Jeff Sheehan (CAS\u201985) of Dublin, Ireland, married Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Hayes on October 12, 2018. After an engagement in Borgarnes, Iceland, the couple married in Boston, and then relocated to Dublin. Jeff is a native of Brockton, Mass., and worked for Apple, Inc. Th\u00e9r\u00e8se is a native of Cork, Ireland, and was working for State Street Corporation. The couple were neighbors for years, Jeff says, before he \u201cgot smart and asked her out. Allan Hutchison-Maxwell (CAS\u201908) of Silver Spring, Md., writes that he and Alison Russell (CAS\u201910, Wheelock\u201910) were married on September 29, 2018, on a beautiful fall day in Potomac, Md. The wedding party included many BU alumni. Julie Palakovich Carr (CAS\u201905) of Rockville, Md., was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates to represent District 17, which includes Rockville and Gaithersburg. She was sworn in on January 8, 2019.<\/p>\n

Deanne Mazzochi (CAS\u201994) of Elmhurst, Ill., is the new state representative for the 47th district for the Illinois General Assembly. She was unopposed in the March 2018 primary and won the House seat in the November 2018 general election.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Marisa Benoit (CAS\u201906) of New York, N.Y., married Thad Olchowski on August 11, 2018, at Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Mass. Bridesmaids included Alpha Delta Pi sorority sisters Alexis (Rudakewych) Moch (CAS\u201905) and Marisa (Esposito) Bernstein (Questrom\u201905). Also in attendance were ADPi sisters Lauren (Johnston) Winsor (Questrom\u201905), Chelsea Howard (SHA\u201904), and Christianne Reiniger (COM\u201904), who provided wonderful musical entertainment for the evening alongside her Boston-based wedding band, Brick Park.<\/p>\n

Sasha Rolon Pereira (CGS\u201999, CAS\u201901) of Stamford, Conn., is associate director of education for the Gilder Lehrman Institute (GLI) for American History, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving history education. Sasha was involved in the creation of the institute\u2019s Hamilton Education Program (HEP), an educational program that has been touring the country since March 2016. She is the program director for HEP, which provides students the opportunity to experience the musical Hamilton<\/em> after spending several weeks in their classrooms studying Alexander Hamilton and the nation\u2019s Founding Fathers. One of the institute\u2019s several history education programs, HEP was devised in New York with Hamilton<\/em> creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, producer Jeffrey Seller, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the New York City department of education. Acting as the liaison between the institute, its partners, and the Miranda family, Sasha helped the educational arm of Hamilton<\/em> become a reality for 20,000 students from Title 1 schools across America.
