She is currently writing a book on African religions and how these traditions have been impacted by technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cMy goal has always been to challenge monolithic understandings of African American religiosities,\u201d Margarita told the publication. She was recently named a 2020\/2021 Jeffrey Henderson Senior Research Fellow at BU\u2019s Center for the Humanities.
