Part of the Holocaust Through Film series, "Our Children" is one of the first films to challenge the representation of the Holocaust onscreen. Our Children documents a unique performance by the comedy duo Shimon Dzigan and Israel Shumacher for the children of the Helenowek Colony near Lodz, Poland. Shumacher and Dzigan, recently back from the Soviet Union, perform for children who have survived the Holocaust, and in turn the children teach them the realities of life in the ghettos. This screening is open to BU students, faculty and staff ONLY.
