FMC Regional Meeting: Boston- Panel Discussion and Luncheon

The 114th Congress: Domestic and Foreign Policy Priorities On January 30, the John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies, in partnership with the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the Study of the United States Senate, the United States Association of Former Members of Congress, and the Council of American Ambassadors, will host an interactive discussion on the policy of the next Congress. The panel will be moderated by Professor Watanabe, and will include: - Professor Erin O¹Brien, UMass Boston - Congressman Rob Simmons (R-CT, 2001-2007) - Congressman John Tierney (D-MA, 1997-2015) -James Smith, US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, 2009-2013 -Alan Solomont, US Ambassador to Spain, 2009-2013 Former policymakers and diplomats will provide perspectives based on their diverse experience in public service. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions during the second half of the panel and be able to meet the participants and guests informally before and after the speaking program. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Registration is required by January 26.
