For six years, Giving Day has been a truly special occasion, bringing together worthy causes on campus with supportive donors in the larger BU community: a group that last year included almost 12,000 individuals. We look forward to the day, hopefully not far off, when we will be able to announce that Giving Day is back on the calendar.

Meanwhile, many have asked how they can help students who face unexpected expenses. Within the BU community, there are many ways to help but two to highlight are:

• The Student Life Emergency Fund provides undergraduate students, university-wide, with critical funds for emergency circumstances.
• For Arts & Sciences graduate support, the Wentworth Fund provides aid to needy and deserving graduate students undergoing financial distress.

Now, more than ever, these funds paint a picture of how we are coming together to have a powerful and immediate impact on our students.
