Career Intern
The primary function of this position is to staff resume and cover letter review hours. Career interns must have strong writing, grammar, and editing skills as well as the ability to communicate clearly to explain the methods of improvement for resumes and cover letters. Successful candidates will also be dependable, enthusiastic, want to assist peers with career questions, and be able to commit to one full academic year.
Career Equity & Inclusion Intern
The Career Equity and Inclusion Intern Program seeks qualified BU undergrads to support the CCD’s mission of providing equity-centered career services and resources to our diverse student and alumni population.
This position is a great way to get to know other BU students, have a built-in career mentor, and support an essential function of the student experience – the intersection of career development and identity. The Career Equity and Inclusion intern must have strong writing and communication skills, as well as a passion for exploring, researching, and supporting inclusion, diversity, equity, access, and belonging within career development and services.
Career Ambassador Program
The Center for Career Development (CCD) Career Ambassador Program at Boston University is a peer education and outreach program that enlists a diverse group of undergraduates to support the center’s efforts to increase student awareness of and engagement with CCD programs and resources. Learn more
CCD Student Desk Assistants
This position supports the front desk operations for the Center for Career Development serving as the primary contact for anyone visiting or calling. Answering questions, directing traffic, and routing phone calls are key responsibilities. Additionally, students will assist staff with administrative projects as needed. Successful candidates will have experience in an office, customer service, and/or hospitality setting; will exhibit maturity and dependability; and will be prepared to be an energetic, enthusiastic member of our team. Communications Intern
This position supports the Marketing and Communications team with in-house design work, web/calendar updates, social media, newsletter creation (Constant Contact), and other duties or projects as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience with creative tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
Data and Operations Assistant
This position supports the Assessment and Operations team through collecting and processing data, maintaining career office databases, creating dashboards, delivering prescriptive analytics, and other duties or projects as needed. Successful candidates will have experience with analytical tools; basic tools (Excel, Google Sheets) needed, advanced tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qualtrics) preferred.
Graduate Career Internship Program
The Graduate Intern will gain exposure to various functional areas within the Center for Career Development (CCD), such as Career Education, Employer Engagement, Marketing & Communications, and Assessment & Operations. Involvement in these areas will depend on the Graduate Intern’s individual career interests and project availability.
