China’s Overseas Financing: Origins, Practices and Global Debate
Dr. Yan Xue is a development economist who bridges rigorous scholarship with extensive field-based practice, combining expertise in macroeconomic stability with hands-on experience in global development. Since 2017, he has worked across more than 20 countries in Africa, advancing China–Africa economic cooperation through the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and overseas financing strategies. His practitioner experience provides deep insight into sovereign debt dynamics, emerging market risks, and the realities of infrastructure investment in developing economies.
