Introduction to Artificial Intelligence in Health.

This event will feature Dr. Huimin Cheng, Assistant Professor of Biostatistics and a faculty member of the CFAR. The hybrid seminar will outline the key concepts underlying modern AI, including machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI. Using concrete, real-world examples, the session will illustrate how AI is being applied to challenges and will also address critical considerations for responsible use. Participants will leave with a foundational understanding of how AI works, where it can add value, and what is needed to use these tools thoughtfully and effectively in health contexts.
