Black Women’s Art Ecosystems: Sites of Wellness and Self-Care

How can art be used to heal? This event will foster a rich dialogue with art education scholar Dr. Tanisha M. Jackson, in which we will explore how Black women artists function as wellness workers in their communities. By discussing the insights Dr. Jackson gained through her research for her book, Black Women’s Art Ecosystems, we will unpack the many ways wellness lives beyond traditional health spaces.
