Lunch n Learn: Indian Festivals and their Soundscape
An opportunity to engage in meaningful, intimate cross-cultural dialogue with Indian musicians. This event will explore the themes of cultural diversity, diversity of human expression in the arts and beyond, and questions of belonging and tradition. It will be a fascinating conversation that connects India's rich tradition with how we perceive the world in 2026. All this over a tasty Indian lunch provided courtesy of the BU Office for the Arts.
This event is part of the Basant Ke Rang | Colors of Spring: Raga Music of North India three-day BU residency. Three stellar classical musicians from Mumbai, India will be visiting the BU campus this Spring. Maestro Sudhir Nayak, acclaimed master of the Indian portable organ, the harmonium will be joined by the superb vocalist Dhananjay Hegde and tabla virtuoso Yogeesh Bhat.
This residency is co-sponsored by the BU Office for the Arts, LearnQuest Academy of Music, BU School of Music, and BU Center for the Study of Asia. The event is free, but tickets and pre-registration are required.
