Beginner Backpacking: Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway
Intensity Level: Strenuous Please reference descriptions of intensity levels prior to registering for this trip to ensure you are mentally and physically prepared, for the safety and wellbeing of yourself and the group.. Prerequisites: None. This two-day guided trip will take you backpacking along the Monadnock- Sunapee Greenway, a route that connects Mt. Monadnock and Mt. Sunapee. We will tackle the northern half between the town of Washington, NH and Mt. Sunapee. The trail is a hidden gem in the northeast and offers rolling terrain, fine viewpoints, and established campsites. Please note that itinerary adjustments may be necessary due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Clothing and equipment can be provided by BU Outdoor Programs upon request. Roundtrip transportation is provided from the BU Fitness and Recreation Center to the trip location. Since this is an overnight trip, your attendance will be required at a pre-trip meeting with trip leaders to discuss additional details including the itinerary, gear, and meals. The meeting will be held about 2 weeks before the trip’s departure. An email will be sent providing further details on the exact date and time. If you have any specific questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at buop@bu.edu! FitRec members: $120, Non-members: $135
