The Limits of "Mixedness": Ethno-National Conflicts in post-1948 Israel’s “Mixed Cities”
Join Dr. Abigail Jacobson and Dr. Erica Weiss for our second Israel Studies event of the year. Dr. Jacobson will present on “Trapped Neighborhoods, Trapped Identities: Mizrahi Jews and Palestinian Arabs in the ‘Mixed City’,”, and Dr. Weiss will give a talk entitled “In the Shadow of the State: Lived Pluralism in Ramla.” These talks will be followed by a response from discussant Dr. Yuval Evri and a panel discussion with the audience.
