MFA Painting Thesis Exhibition
The BU College of Fine Arts School of Visual Arts MFA Painting Class of 2026 Thesis Exhibition is on view in BU Art Galleries' Faye G., Jo, and James Stone Gallery from April 28 through May 17. The exhibition is open to the public during gallery hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 11am to 5pm, and on Sunday, May 17, for BU's Commencement.
The Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program in Painting at Boston University promotes the discipline in its varied manifestations as a fundamental form of artistic expression. At its core, the program is studio-driven, with rigorous expectations about each student’s focused commitment to their individual artistic practice.

BU SVA’s Thesis Exhibitions and presentations showcase work by graduating MFA candidates across Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Design, Print Media & Photography, and Visual Narrative. These culminating exhibitions highlight the diverse practices, critical inquiries, and innovative approaches shaping the next generation of contemporary artists and designers.
