CFA Color Garden: Sit, Sew, Sustain
Boston University College of Fine Arts Color Garden and BU Student Wellbeing invite all students to the final workshop of the semester: Sit, Sew, Sustain.
Using flowers harvested from the CFA Color Garden, participants will explore the process of making plant-based dyes, experiment with color mock-ups, and sew fabric squares that reflect individual expression and shared connection.
As we stitch and talk about the meaning behind each hue, we’ll consider how color relates to emotion, memory, and wellbeing. Rooted in the idea of “Color & Connection,” this mindful making activity invites participants to slow down, reflect, and find calm through the meditative rhythms of sewing—while fostering community and combating loneliness through collective creation.
