Cinemateque: An Evening with Joshua Brand
Joshua Brand co-created St. Elsewhere, A Year in the Life, Northern Exposure, I’ll Fly Away, and Going to Extremes. He was a Consulting Producer for all six seasons of the FX show “The Americans" and was nominated for an Emmy for writing the episode "Do Mail Robots Dream of Electric Sheep." He’s received several Emmys, Peabody Awards, Golden Globes, a Producers Guild Award, and a Humanitas Award. In 2013 he received the Paddy Chayefsky Lifetime Achievement Award from the Writers' Guild of America. Screening the episode "Do Mail Robots Dream of Electric Sheep" from season 3 of The Americans, followed by a discussion moderated by Craig H. Shepherd, chair, Department of Film and Television.
