Barbara Jordan Lecture featuring Shalanda Baker, University of Michigan

Energy Justice, Liberation, and Freedom: Towards a Revolutionary Praxis This talk discusses the structural inequities embedded in the modern, fossil-fuel based energy system and pathways to advance energy justice in a decarbonized system. The lecture draws on policy successes and failures from the Biden-Harris Administration, including the Justice40 Initiative, and suggests that a more revolutionary praxis may be needed to advance justice and liberation in a decarbonized future.
