[HMS] Crafting Effective CVs
Trainees and professionals in academic work environments will likely encounter a request to summarize their professional accomplishments in the form of a curriculum vitae (CV). This workshop will introduce students to best practices in developing a CV, highlighting strategies for effectively conveying educational background, professional experience, intellectual interests, publication history and professional interests, funding, honors and awards. This is an interactive workshop which will take advantage of peer-review to apply the best practices introduced in this session. All attendees are asked to bring a current copy of their CV (or an existing resume). Presenter: Dr. Jason Heustis, Assistant Dean for Student Development and Evaluation, Office for Graduate Education at Harvard Medical School.
