BU Campus Climate Lab Information and Proposal Development Session #1
Help advance sustainability and climate solutions using the BU campuses as your living lab! Teams made up of students and their faculty, staff, or graduate student mentors are invited to submit research proposals for the fall 2025 round of Campus Climate Lab (CCL) funding by September 19 at 3 pm. Funding is awarded up to $10,000, including student stipends and research supplies.
RSVP for upcoming information sessions to learn about CCL and the application process, meet our team, and receive guidance on your project ideas. Join in person (snacks and drinks will be provided) or by Zoom. Questions? Contact cclab@bu.edu.
CCL research projects support the goals of the University Climate Action Plan by helping to decarbonize our campus, improve the sustainability of our buildings and operations, and reduce waste and scope 3 emissions. Research can be grounded in any discipline and explore various climate and sustainability topics, including resiliency, climate-related health impacts, and related equity and justice issues. Need help refining your idea or connecting with other students or mentors? Visit CCL’s Ideas Board (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Oyt9UAHIOQw2WSV7_OM_4Zbp4cw-5wA6VkQPEO4xX54/edit?pli=1&gid=0#gid=0) to collaborate, recruit, or join a project team (Kerberos log-in required). You can also check out all current and past projects at https://www.bu.edu/igs/research/campus-climate-lab/research-projects/.
CCL is led by the BU Institute for Global Sustainability, in collaboration with BU Sustainability and the Office of Research.
