[Research office] Meet the Funder: Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute

The Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) funds patient-centered comparative effectiveness research (CER) that typically compares two evidence-based interventions with large participant groups and meaningful stakeholder engagement. Additionally, PCORI funds research on methodological, engagement, and dissemination projects that support CER. The overarching goal of work supported by PCORI is to help patients and providers make more informed healthcare decisions. PCORI makes grants of up to $12 million and pays an additional 40% in indirect costs.

During this virtual event, BU faculty will have a chance to hear from Program Officer Mandy Rounds, PhD, who will present on PCORI priorities, processes, and research expectations.
