Having It All: The Art of the Portfolio Career
Boston University College of Fine Arts School of Music presents the 2025 - 2026 Career Development Workshop Series.
In this workshop, cellist Laura Metcalf (CFA'04) and guitarist Rupert Boyd discuss building a fulfilling career doing all the things that inspire you artistically, without compromising financial stability. This far-reaching conversation will touch on the topics of balance, productivity without burnout, collaboration, networking, entrepreneurship and much more. Metcalf and Boyd will draw upon their multi-decade careers as performers, educators, concert curators and arts leaders to illuminate various paths to a successful career in music and the arts.
