Talk Title: Artly AI: Blending Automation with Craftsmanship
Abstract:How can AI and robotics transform industries that rely on human skill and craftsmanship? In this talk, I will share the journey behind Artly AI and Artly Coffee, where cutting-edge automation meets artisanal expertise to redefine how we experience handcrafted products. From solving labor shortages to enhancing precision and consistency, Artly AI is pioneering a new era of intelligent automation. I will discuss the challenges and breakthroughs in building AI-powered systems that preserve craftsmanship, our vision for the future, and what this means for both businesses and consumers.
Bio:Yushan Chen is the co-founder of Artly AI and Artly Coffee, where she is pioneering the future of coffee through artificial intelligence and robotics. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Boston University and has a strong background in AI, technology, and product innovation. Before founding Artly, Yushan was a Senior Product Manager at Amazon Alexa, where she led key AI-driven projects, gaining deep expertise in voice interaction and intelligent automation. She was also a Director of Products and an early team member at Orbeus—acquired by Amazon in 2015—where she played a critical role in advancing AI-powered computer vision technologies and driving commercialization efforts. With her leadership and technical expertise, Yushan has successfully integrated AI and robotics into the coffee industry, creating solutions that enhance customer experiences, improve efficiency, and address labor shortages. Her work at Artly AI is revolutionizing automation by seamlessly integrating advanced robotics with human craftsmanship, redefining how industries leverage AI-driven solutions for efficiency, precision, and enhanced customer experiences.
