Realizing Radical Hope Speaker Series: Antero Garcia and Nicole Mirra
Co-Constructing Alternative Educational Architectures through Speculative Civic Literacies
Normative paradigms of educational praxis are oriented toward preparing young people to endure social arrangements built upon foundations of inequity and oppression. In this talk, we offer the framework of speculative civic literacies as an exhortation to imagine educational architectures that can guide us toward co-constructing liberatory worlds that could be. We will discuss innovations in participatory methodologies, learning models, and pedagogical designs that are concrete embodiments of this social dreaming.
