Early Education Access and Decision-Making: Designing Research & Policies to Support Families
Positive early learning experiences have benefits for children, families and communities. However, research has shown that families face challenges finding and accessing early education arrangements that are affordable, high-quality, culturally supportive, and that meet their specific family needs. This talk will include an interactive discussion of ways to design research that can inform policies to better support families as they make decisions about early education. I will share examples of research studies I have conducted in partnership with policymakers and practitioners on this topic, and my overall approach to engaging in early education partnership research
