The 51st Annual Service of Lessons & Carols
Marsh Chapel offers this spectacular and festive service each year as a gift to our communities. Tickets and reservations are not available or required. Instead, we invite you to come as you are and enjoy. Ample seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Marsh Chapel’s 51st Annual Service of Christmas Lessons and Carols, will be celebrated Friday, December 6th, 2024 at 6:00 p.m and again on Sunday, December 8th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Both services will also be available via Livestream on the Marsh Chapel Website. The liturgy for Lessons & Carols, one of BU’s most popular annual events, is inspired by the century-old iconic Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at King’s College, Cambridge. Music will be provided by the Marsh Chapel Choir, the Boston University School of Theology’s Seminary Singers, the Inner Strength Gospel Choir, and the Majestic Brass Quintet. The livestream of the Friday, December 6th, 2024 Service of Lessons and Carols can be viewed LIVE on the Marsh Chapel Website, beginning at 6PM on December 6. Upon the completion of the stream, the recording of the service will be available for replay within 24 hours.
