Continuum Dance Project: Echoes of Renewal
A Note From The Directors
‘Echoes of Renewal’ is a multidisciplinary immersive performance by Continuum Dance Project (CDP), that examines humanity's connection with the natural world. Featuring projection by Ernesto Galan, this work uses Robin Wall Kimmerer’s book “Braiding Sweetgrass” as inspiration to explore ideas of attention, care and reciprocity. ‘Echoes’ aims to bring the feeling of the outdoors inside through movement, video and textiles. The creation of this work is the result of a year-long residency at BU Wheelock’s Earl Center for Learning & Innovation. During this residency, CDP presented two workshops and outdoor site-specific showings for the Earl Center community. The opportunity for idea exchange between the artists from Continuum Dance Project and the faculty, staff and students at Earl Center during the residency was invaluable to our creative process and the shaping of the work.
