BU's 4th Annual National First-gen College Celebration
The Newbury Center invites the entire BU community to participate in our campus-wide 4th Annual National First-gen College Celebration on Monday, November 4th, co-sponsored by Enrollment and Student Administration (ENSA), the Dean of Students (DOS), and the LGBTQIA+ Student Resource Center. The day will include a welcome by BU Administrators, an activity fair with resource tabling, games, notes of encouragement campaign, prizes, swag, and food. We will continue with our research poster presentation displays and will have our 4th Annual First-Gen Art Competition in collaboration with the BU Arts Initiative. This event is a part of the National First-Generation College Celebration, which is coordinated annually by FirstGen Forward and the Council for Opportunity in Education. While November 8th is the official date of the celebration, BU will be celebrating the whole week (Nov. 4-8) with several different events.
