Book Talk: Human Acts by Han Kang
Book Discussion: the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature Winner, Han Kang’s Human Acts Join us for a special joint lecture on this year’s Nobel laureate, Han Kang’s Human Acts (소년이 온다, 2014). This event consists of two short presentations by two BU specialists in Korean Literature, Yoon Sun Yang and Dennis Wuerthner, and a close reading of the book's first chapter. Please get in touch with Professor Yang (yyoonsun@bu.edu) for a scanned copy of the book's first chapter in English, Korean, or both. Feel free to come even if you haven't read the chapter. *This novel focuses on the victims and survivors of the Kwangju massacre in May 1980 and, therefore, could be potentially triggering and emotionally challenging.
