Cinematheque: An Evening with Andrew Kightlinger
Born and raised in Madagascar, later living in South Dakota, Andrew Boodhoo Kightlinger studied filmmaking at Boston University before making the feature films “Lost on a Mountain in Maine” for producer Sylvester Stallone and “Tater Tot & Patton” starring fellow BU alum Jessica Rothe. He’s also the recipient of the Grand Prize for Screenwriting at Slamdance. Andrew’s multi-cultural origins have fueled a prolific genre-fluid approach to storytelling, a personal ethos most recently explored in the short dance film “Becoming”, which he directed in collaboration with The Getty Center and Sony. He’s repped by Artists First and GGSSC. Hosted by Assistant Professor of Production Amy Geller.
