Film Screening with Panel: Healing Nation
Special screening of Healing Nation, a documentary by Symbia Barnaby, an Indigenous filmmaker of Haida and Mi’kmaq descent. The film sheds light on the lived impacts of colonial violence and the resilience of Indigenous communities, as it highlights the trauma of generations of Indigenous children being taken from their families.
Following the screening, a panel discussion will feature the filmmaker and members of Massachusetts tribal communities, fostering critical dialogue on social justice, equitable access, and inclusive practices for Indigenous people.
