Connections Matter
Please join BU School of Social Work (BUSSW) and the Greater Boston Association of Black Social Workers (GBABSW) for a compelling panel discussion about the importance of making connections. The panel discussion, Connections Matter, will feature special guest, Melissa Smith Haley, MSW, LMSW, 14th president, immediate past president, as well as Malaka Mims, GBABSW president, the membership committee, and BUSSW students, who will explore the following topics: •Building Your Professional Network • Prioritizing Professional Self Care • Advancing Student and Practitioner Education and Training • Showcasing Research and Expertise • Empowering People of African Ancestry PROGRAM: 1:45pm - 3:30pm | Panel discussion (In-person/Zoom) 3:30 - 4:30pm | Networking reception with refreshments (In-person) Please register to attend in-person or virtually.
