Albertine Cinémathèque French Film Festival

This is a French Film Festival organized by graduate students in French in the department on Romance Studies and supported by Villa Albertine. French movies are screened with English subtitles. The event is open to the public and it is free. No registration is needed. This year our festival returns with an amazing line-up of seven films centered around the theme of Monsters as the majority of the films being screened explore the monstrous yet banal evils of patriarchy, technology, and political extremism. The festival will be held in person starting September 25 @ 6 pm at PHO 206 (8 St. Mary’s St.). This year, we are excited to present a special screening of "Animal Kingdom" in partnership with MIT, followed by a Q&A and discussion with the writer, Victor Dixen. Additionally, we will host a trivia session after the screening of The Beast and a Q&A for Four Daughters.

When 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm weekly, starting from 9/25/24, until 10/30/24
