The Rink
Boston University School of Theatre presents "The Rink" at BU's Joan & Edgar Booth Theatre. Book by Terrence McNally • Music by John Kander • Lyrics by Fred Ebb • Directed by Gregg Wiggans.
Rediscover the magic of Broadway’s original roller skating musical. For the first time in 40 years, this rarely produced musical will feature a newly restored book and orchestrations. Written by Terrence McNally, with Music and Lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb, the innovative story is set on the ragged fringe of New York’s Coney Island. As Anna Antonelli’s roller rink is about to be demolished, it becomes the arena in which mother and daughter, Angel, examine their past, present, and future. THE RINK is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals (www.concordtheatricals.com).
