The Future of Foreign Policy Is Feminist
Join us for a Panel Discussion with Dr. Sonja Kreibich, Consul General of Germany to the New England States, and Kristina Lunz, Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy, and author of the 2022 bestseller The Future of Foreign Policy Is Feminist. Moderated by Sandra McEvoy Clinical Associate Professor of Political Science and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies at Boston University.
On 1 March 2023, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock presented Germany’s first-ever Guidelines for a Feminist Foreign Policy. Safeguarding the rights of women and marginalized group, representation, and access to resources have since become a cornerstone of German foreign policy.
Kristina Lunz will read a brief excerpt from her book and explain the concept of a “feminist foreign policy.” Consul General Sonja Kreibich will share from her experience implementing the Guidelines.
A Reception & Book-signing will follow the discussion. Free copies of Kristina’s book will be given to the first 25 people to register (BU affiliates only). You must attend the event to receive your book!
