The Cultural Betrayal of Black Women & Girls: A Conversation with Jennifer M. Gómez
Join Prof. Jennifer M. Gómez and award-winning author Koritha Mitchell for a reading and discussion of Gómez’s book, “The Cultural Betrayal of Black Women & Girls: A Black Feminist Approach to Healing from Sexual Abuse.” Following an introduction to cultural betrayal trauma theory (CBTT) and a brief reading from her book, Gómez will join Mitchell in a conversation about her work. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in the discussion. A reception with light refreshments will follow.
