Meet The Gordon And Betty Moore Foundation
The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation supports lasting, meaningful change by making bold investments to attain significant results that can improve the future. Its three main priorities are advancing scientific discovery, environmental conservation and the San Francisco Bay community.
The Moore Foundation’s Science Program seeks to advance basic science through developing new technologies, supporting imaginative research scientists and creating new collaborations at the frontiers of traditional scientific disciplines. Current science funding initiatives include Emergent Phenomena in Quantum Systems, Experimental Physics Investigators, Symbiosis in Aquatic Systems, and Curiosity-Driven Science.
Dr. Dusan Pejakovic, a director in the Moore Science program, will first provide a brief overview of the Moore Foundation, and then expand on the Science program’s funding philosophy, approaches, as well as application and review processes.
