The World in Disarray: Europe's Role as a Transatlantic Partner in a Changing Geopolitical Landscape
Please join us for a Europe in the World Breakfast Talk with Metin Hakverdi. Moderated by Kaija Schilde, Jean Monnet Chair in European Security and Defense (2022-24), Associate Professor of International Relations, and Director of the Center for the Study of Europe.
Metin Hakverdi has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2013 where he serves on the Committee for the Affairs of the European Union and the Finance Committee. Hakverdi works on issues related to the future of work and the rise of populism. Within the Social Democratic Party's (SPD) parliamentary group, he chairs the Working Group on USA/North America. Hakverdi is also a member of the German–U.S. Parliamentary Friendship Group in the German Bundestag, the Atlantik-Brücke e.V., and Global Bridges e.V.
