Cendrillon (Cinderella)
Cendrillon, with music by Jules Massenet and libretto by Henri Caïn, is presented as a co-production between the College of Fine Arts School of Music: Opera Institute and School of Theatre. Conductor: William Lumpkin. Conductor (March 3): Ken Yanagisawa. Stage Director: Brenna Corner | Joan & Edgar Booth Theatre | Thursday, February 29 at 7:30pm; Friday, March 1 at 7:30pm; Saturday, March 2 at 7:30pm, Sunday, March 3 at 2pm | Cendrillon is the well-known fairy tale about a young girl wronged and her ultimate redemption through her discovery of true love. Massenet's ethereal music carries the audience into a dreamlike world of enchantment. Sung in French with English supertitles; performed with orchestra.
