Public Service Law Symposium: Financial Assistance for Public Service Careers
Do you want to have a career in public interest law or government but worried you won't be able to afford it? Come to this panel on financial assistance options when starting your career. Moderated by Claire Abely, this talk will be an informative discussion on post-graduate options!Brooke Meckler, Director of Law School Engagement & Advocacy at Equal Justice Works will discuss the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. Cheryl Constantine, Director of Financial Aid here at BU Law will talk about the BU Law Loan Repayment Assistance Program and other BU programs that can help with financial planning.and Kimberly Wong, Assistant Director for Public Sector Careers in the Career Development Office will talk about state specific and organizational loan payment assistance as well as cost of living breakdowns and the hidden financial benefits of a career in public interest law or government.
