Diversifying Philosophy 101: A Teaching Practicum

The BU College of General Studies, the Harvard Philosophy Department, and PIKSI-Boston are proud to invite you to Diversifying Philosophy 101: A Teaching Practicum, a one-day event devoted to making syllabi in philosophy and related fields more diverse and inclusive. Featured speakers include Sofia Ortiz-Hinojosa (Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Vassar College), Regan Penaluna (award-winning journalist and author of How to Think Like a Woman), and Olúfẹ́mi O. Táíwò (Professor of African Political Thought at Cornell University). Presentations will provide practical advice on integrating figures from underrepresented groups into existing curricula and will feature specific suggestions regarding course materials and assignments. Lunch and coffee are included, and the practicum is open to all.
