Rendering Experiences: Artists’ Talk

Presented by Boston University School of Visual Arts, “Rendering Experiences” exhibition at the Griffin Museum’s Lafayette City Center satellite brings together artworks by the inaugural class of BU SVA’s MFA program in Print Media + Photography. Please join the Artists' Talk on Thursday, November 2nd, at 7pm on Zoom. As a multi-national group of female-identifying students, the class of 2024 proudly presents works that highlight the distinct interdisciplinary nature between printmaking and photography.“Rendering Experiences” focuses on the mundane, hidden, or overlooked. The works reside along the periphery of the day-to-day, engaging with familiar experiences in a new way. Light, shadow, and traces of imagery can be seen in cyanotype and collagraph alongside photographic representations of the natural and man-made world. The tensions between turmoil and joy rest within the frames of monotype, silkscreen, and lithography. Paper and fabric exist as the landscape for which the artists share their rendered experiences. Each work demonstrates awareness and appreciation, bringing forth resonating memories."Rendering Experiences" runs from October 2 – January 7, 2024Artists’ Talk – Thursday, November 2nd, at 7pm on ZoomThe Griffin Museum of Photography is a nonprofit organization dedicated solely to the art of photography.
