Policy Forum Series: College and Career Readiness Outlook for Youth
Join the Coalition for Career Development Center and the Boston University Wheelock Center for Future Readiness for a three-part Policy Forum Series that offers a national gauge for how well we are preparing today’s youth to enter and adults to navigate pathways to economic self-sufficiency and social mobility. This event will be held virtually over Zoom. Registration is required.
Session 1: College and Career Readiness Outlook for Youth
Our communities continue to invest in our schools and higher education with the hope that all youth will become college and career ready. This session offers a national snapshot of key state-level college and career readiness outcomes with respect to postsecondary engagement and completion rates. The session will also showcase strategies that states are striving to improve the future transition to employment outlook for today’s youth. These strategies include starting individualized career plans in middle school, expanding access to connected learning pathways, and implementing ecosystem collaboration efforts to coordinate PreK-12, higher education, and business and industry.
