Cinematheque: An Evening with James Friend
2023 Academy Award for Best Cinematography for All Quiet on the Western Front, James Friend has won countless awards for cinematography including a BAFTA award for Rillington Place (2016) and ASC and BSC awards for Patrick Melrose (2018). Prior to All Quiet, James shot many other shows and motion pictures including the Your Honour (2020), MotherFatherSon (2019), Victoria (2017), and Willow (2022). He is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers and British Society of Cinematographers. A screening of All Quiet on the Western Front (2022) followed by a Q&A with Oscar-winning cinematographer James Friend. Hosted by FTV Professor of Cinematography Tim Palmer
