Biostatistics Seminar Series: Characterizing immune correlates of protection in vaccine efficacy trials with stochastic-interventional causal effects.

Nima Hejazi is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. His research interests blend causal inference, machine learning, non- and semi-parametric inference, and computational statistics; areas of recent emphasis have included causal mediation analysis, efficient estimation under outcome-dependent sampling, and sieve estimation for causal machine learning. Nima's methodological research is motivated by scientific collaborations evaluating therapeutics and preventives for infectious diseases, infectious disease epidemiology, and computational biology. He is also passionate about statistical computing and open-source software design for applied statistics and data science.
