BU Marsh Chapel THE BACH EXPERIENCE: CHRISTEN, ÄTZET DIESEN TAG, BWV 63
Led by Music Director Scott Allen Jarrett, the Bach Experience at Marsh Chapel explores Bach’s musical world and theological connections. In a series of four talks, Dr. Jarrett and the Chapel Choir and Collegium present four cantatas throughout the year in service and performance. As the largest portion of Bach’s compositional output, the sacred cantatas possess great insight and perspective on the week’s liturgy through sensitive musical expression. The Bach Experience lecture begins at 9:30AM in the Marsh Chapel Sanctuary, followed by a performance of the full cantata during the 11AM Interdenominational Worship Service at Marsh Chapel.
