The Evolution of Nollywood
With a huge global audience within the Black diaspora, Nollywood is one of the fastest growing film industries in the world. Netflix has invested 40+ million dollars to stream two categories on its platform: Made by Africa and Nollywood Movies and TV. How has Nollywood become a powerhouse in a short time with the fraction of the money available to the US, India, and other leading film industries? How will it maintain its position as the second largest film industry in the world? What will be Nollywood’s future?
