The War in Ukraine: A Conversation with General David D. McKiernan
The Center for the Study of Europe cordially invites you to a panel discussion on the war in Ukraine. Retired Army General David D. McKiernan will be joined in conversation by Cathal Nolan, Associate Professor of History, and Kaija Schilde, Associate Professor of International Relations and Jean Monnet Chair in European Security and Defense. Retired Army General David D. McKiernan is the former top commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan. He entered the Army in 1972 with an ROTC commission and went on to serve in the US Army for 37 years. His distinguished career includes service in the Gulf War, Korea, Europe and the Balkans, Southwest Asia, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
